Sportspower, working in conjunction with CPSC, issued a recall of trampolines because the legs can move out of position, thereby puncturing the jumping area which poses an injury risk to children and adults.
The company, to date, has been notified of one incident in which the trampoline leg separated from the frame while in use which caused the leg to puncture the surface. But, no injuries have been reported.
The recall involves Sportspower Parkside model TR-14FT-COM trampolines that are 14’ and have an enclosure net. They were sold exclusively at Sports Authority stores nationwide.
Consumers are urged to discontinue using the recalled trampolines and to contact the company for a free repair kit. For more information, please call Sportspower at (888) 965-0565 or visit them online at www.sportspowerltd.net.
