Swan Creek Candle Co. has issued a voluntary recall of loose votive candles because they can burn with a high flame, posing a burn and fire hazard to consumers.
To this date, the company has received more than 88 reports of the votive candles with high or erratic flames. Four of those cases involved four minor burns but there have not been any reports of property damage or fire.
The recalled candles were sold loose and displayed in open trays or bins. They were 2-inches high and sold in several different fragrances as well as colors. Due to them being sold “loose,” that means that the recalled candles did not have individual labels, prices or other descriptive coding. Consumers are urged to stop using the candles and to return them to any Swan Creek Candle company for a refund or replacement.
