Glideaway, working in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), issued a voluntary recall of Sleepharmony Metal Youth Beds because the surface paint contains levels of lead that exceed allowable limits.
The recall involves pink-colored twin-size, metal beds with three pink heart-shaped designs that are on the headboard and footboard. The model number is #MB-YPT-R1. The items were manufactured between December 2011 and May 2013. The CPSC Website has photos of the recalled beds for consumer reference.
Consumers are urged to discontinue using the recalled beds and to contact the company for exchanging or refund information. Call Glideaway at (800) 428-5222, ext. 265 or visit them online at www.glideaway.com/recall/for additional information.
